Rev. Andrew Mattick

Senior Pastor

Pastor Andy came to serve as Senior Pastor of the UMC of Simi Valley in July of 2010.  His passions in ministry are reaching all people through excellence in the arts of worship, preaching, and teaching.  A storyteller, Pastor Andy strives to make the story of our faith in Scripture relevant and lively, practical and personal.  He has a ten-year history of work with youth and families and has a vision for shepherding the ministries of SVUMC to address the needs of the families of our community.

Andy is married to Rev. Camille Mattick, a deacon who serves as the Pastor of Children, Youth and Family at Simi Valley UMC.  They are blessed with two children, Madelyn and Jackson. As a family, they enjoy the kids' sports, movies, games, and adventures together.  Personally, Andy enjoys riding his bike, technology and computers, guitar, and pop-culture.

Andy grew up in the church in many states including Arizona, California, and Nevada.  A high school graduate from Las Vegas, Andy studied Religious Studies and Sociology at Southern Methodist University and then received his Masters of Divinity from the Claremont School of Theology, where he first met Camille. Commissioned as a Probationary Member in 2007, Andy was ordained an Elder in Full Connection in 2010.

     Camille Mattick

    Children, Youth and Family Pastor

Pastor Camille is an Ordained Deacon, who has spent almost 15 years in ministry to families and children in this area and her native Texas. Growing up in El Paso, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Stephen F. Austin University. She received her Masters of Religious Education from the Claremont School of Theology (CST) where she graduated with the William and Douglass Cook Award in Religion and the Arts. She returned a few years later to serve for a semester as the CST Cook Artist in Residence. She has served churches in the Coachella Valley, Orange County and the West Los Angeles area.

With a love for children as disciples in their own right, a passion for serving families, and joy for mentoring youth leadership, Camille shepherds our children, youth and family faith formation ministries here at SVUMC. Her style combines shared leadership with the hope of engaging the senses, passions, and interests of the children, youth, and families we reach. In her ministry to families, Camille works with the CrossRoads Children's Center and also offers regular opportunities for spiritual formation within the family unit. In her own family, Camille is married to our Rev. Andy Mattick and they have two wonderful children, Maddie and Jackson.
